Inns of Banff

Last reviewed: August 14, 2026. Availability unconfirmed. Review pending.

Inns of Banff wedding venue Banff is a legacy search query that now needs careful handling. The current official evidence does not support presenting Inns of Banff as an active, bookable wedding business under that name.

Banff Caribou Properties states that Hotel Canoe & Suites and The Otter Hotel opened on the site formerly known as The Inns of Banff. Because the former property has been divided into two distinct hotels, this listing is review pending rather than an active profile for either successor.

Current identity and review status

This page remains labelled Inns of Banff, but the supplied legacy website now leads to Banff Lodging Co. That group’s official July 2025 announcement says that two new properties—Hotel Canoe & Suites and The Otter Hotel—occupy the site formerly known as The Inns of Banff.

That evidence establishes a material change at the former location, not a one-to-one continuation of the legacy business. A manual editorial decision is needed to retire, redirect, or replace this record with one or two separately verified successor profiles.

Services and specialization

The former listing described hotel wedding and event services, but those claims are legacy content and are not being carried forward as verified current offerings.

The Banff Lodging Co. meetings page contains a general weddings section and lists event spaces for its current hotels. It does not establish that Inns of Banff itself is currently accepting wedding bookings, nor does it identify one successor as the definitive continuation of this listing.

• Do not rely on this legacy page for current ceremony, reception, catering, bar, setup, cleanup, insurance, or accommodation inclusions.
• Request written details from the specific current hotel before planning.

Service area and who it may suit

The verified transition evidence places the former site in Uptown Banff, Alberta. The two successor hotels are positioned as Banff accommodation properties, so the location may be relevant to couples considering a Banff wedding weekend or guest lodging.

This page cannot responsibly recommend a particular successor, guest count, event format, or wedding package. Couples who specifically remember Inns of Banff should first identify whether their enquiry concerns Hotel Canoe & Suites, The Otter Hotel, or another Banff Lodging Co. event space.

Confirmed strengths and practical limitations

A confirmed feature is that the former Inns of Banff site has been redeveloped into two distinct hotels. The official announcement also describes rooftop wellness areas at both successors, while the group events page lists mountain-view event-space features for selected current venues.

The practical limitation is identity, not quality: official sources do not preserve Inns of Banff as a current standalone hotel or wedding venue. The available evidence also does not establish which, if either, successor inherits the legacy wedding listing.

• Confirmed: two current hotels are on the former Inns of Banff site.
• To confirm: the appropriate hotel, event-space availability, wedding suitability, and contract terms.

Pricing

Current pricing is not explicitly published.

No verified wedding package price, venue rental, food-and-beverage minimum, accommodation block rate, or event deposit for the former Inns of Banff is available from a confirmed current Inns of Banff business page.

Contact and booking

No contact details are published here because the former business identity is unresolved. Although the legacy local telephone number appears on Hotel Canoe & Suites’ current contact page, publishing it as an Inns of Banff contact would incorrectly imply that Inns of Banff remains the operating business.

For a current enquiry, use the official Banff Lodging Co. meetings contact route or contact a verified successor hotel directly. State that the request concerns the former Inns of Banff property so the team can direct it appropriately.

What couples should confirm

Before relying on any former Inns of Banff information, ask the current operator which property is relevant and whether it hosts the type of wedding or related event you are planning. Confirm all commercial details in writing because legacy service descriptions may no longer apply after redevelopment.

Also confirm the exact postal address. Official Hotel Canoe & Suites pages conflict on the postal code for 600 Banff Avenue, showing both T1L 1E8 and T1L 1H8. This profile therefore intentionally does not publish an address.

• Which current hotel or event venue should handle the enquiry.
• Whether a ceremony, reception, room block, catering, or private dining option is available.
• Guest limits, accessibility, outdoor contingencies, deposits, cancellation terms, and payment schedule.
• The current address and correct postal code for invitations, contracts, and deliveries.
