What the status labels mean

• Active: an official first-party source showed current operations or an active booking/contact route on the displayed review date.
• Booking availability not independently confirmed: some information could be checked, but there was not enough current evidence to state that new bookings are being accepted.
• Closed: closure was supported by an official statement, authoritative record, or sufficiently strong corroborating evidence. A broken website alone is not treated as proof of closure.

How to use a listing safely

Prefer profiles with a recent “Last reviewed” date, but still contact the business directly. Confirm the legal business name, service area, current telephone number or email, availability, written scope, price, taxes and fees, insurance where relevant, payment recipient, cancellation terms, and recent work. Do not send a deposit only because a directory profile exists.

Listings under review

This directory contains a large historical collection of Canadian business listings. The collection is being reviewed systematically. A page without a recent review date has not yet passed the current verification process and should be treated as unverified until updated.
