Mary Jane Howland Photography

Last reviewed: August 10, 2026. Availability unconfirmed. Review pending.

Mary Jane Howland Photography Victoria BC is currently identifiable through maryjanescamera.ca, where the business name, photographer identity and Westshore-of-Victoria location are shown together. The visible site, however, focuses on maternity, newborn, milestone and family photography rather than wedding coverage.

This Canada Wedding Guide page remains review pending because the former listed website, hempology.ca, belongs to an unrelated cannabis-education organization, while the current photography site does not provide a wedding-services page or visible wedding portfolio. The available evidence is sufficient to identify the current photography brand, but not to represent it as an active wedding-photography supplier.

Current identity and review status

The official homepage is branded “Mary Jane Howland Photography” and is hosted at maryjanescamera.ca. It describes photography for important events in a growing family and identifies a studio in Victoria’s Westshore. This establishes a current photography identity connected to the business name.

The legacy website and phone number must not be carried forward. Hempology.ca identifies itself as the International Hempology 101 Society and publishes the same historical phone number and a downtown Victoria address, but it does not establish any relationship to Mary Jane Howland Photography. That conflict is the principal reason this wedding listing needs manual review.

Services and specialization

The current official navigation and homepage show maternity, newborn, family, milestones, fine-art sport and image-painting content. The homepage specifically highlights newborn photography and describes the approach as bright and fun.

No current official page reviewed for this profile states that wedding photography, engagement sessions, elopements, second photographers, albums, slideshows, liability insurance or multi-location coverage are offered. Those details appeared in legacy directory material only and are not treated as current services.

Service area and who it may suit

The confirmed geographic wording is “Victoria’s Westshore.” The official site refers to a studio there but does not publish a complete postal address, travel area or destination-coverage policy.

Based on the services currently shown, the business may suit clients seeking maternity, newborn, milestone or family photography in the Westshore/Victoria area. Couples looking specifically for wedding photography should first obtain direct confirmation that weddings are currently accepted and determine whether the photographer’s present portfolio suits their plans.

Confirmed strengths and practical limitations

A documented feature is the combination of a studio-based Westshore location with galleries for several family-life stages. The site also provides an online enquiry form for prospective clients.

The key limitation is evidentiary: the current official site has no visible wedding section. There is also no published street address, phone number, service radius, delivery timeline, package inclusions or current availability on the page reviewed. These are information gaps, not negative findings about the photographer or service quality.

Pricing

Current pricing is not explicitly published. The official site provides a booking/contact form but no listed session fees, wedding collection prices, deposits, taxes, travel charges or add-ons.

Anyone considering a booking should request a written quote that identifies the type and length of coverage, the expected deliverables, editing and gallery access, payment schedule, rescheduling terms and any applicable travel costs.

Contact and booking

The verified current contact route is the enquiry form on maryjanescamera.ca. The site asks prospective clients to check junk-mail folders for a response.

Do not use the legacy phone number, Johnson Street address or hempology.ca website to seek photography services. They are associated with the unrelated Hempology organization in the supplied and reviewed evidence.

What couples should confirm

Before treating this listing as a wedding option, confirm directly whether Mary Jane Howland Photography currently books weddings, intimate ceremonies or engagement sessions. Ask for a recent wedding-specific portfolio and clarify the photographer’s availability for the date and venue.

If wedding work is available, also confirm the exact service area, coverage hours, number of photographers, image-delivery format and timing, backup arrangements, contract terms, cancellation/rescheduling policy and total price. Last reviewed: August 10, 2026.

Where is the current studio located?

The official site says the studio is in Victoria’s Westshore. It does not publish a full postal address on the page reviewed.

Are photography prices published?

Current pricing is not explicitly published. The official site directs prospective clients to its contact form for booking enquiries.
