Vanilla Bean Bake Shop is a Maple Ridge bakery offering custom cakes and wedding-focused cake services. Its official Weddings page describes a wedding cake tasting box, one-on-one design consultations and wedding cake packages intended to be customized with the couple and cake artist. This profile was last reviewed on October 16, 2026.

For couples researching a Maple Ridge wedding cake bakery, the business provides a defined starting point for tasting and design discussions. The available evidence confirms the bakery's Maple Ridge address, phone number, wedding cake tasting process and online enquiry route. Couples should still confirm current dates, flavours, design scope, delivery arrangements and the final quote directly with Vanilla Bean Bake Shop.

Services and specialization

Vanilla Bean Bake Shop presents itself as a boutique bakery offering bespoke and custom cakes. Its wedding service is centred on designing a wedding cake with the couple and the bakery's cake artist. The official wedding page describes wedding cake packages that are designed to be customized rather than presented as a single fixed design.

The bakery also offers a Wedding Cake Tasting Box. The page states that the box includes four different cakes and fillings, with examples including vanilla cake with vanilla bean buttercream, lemon cake with lavender buttercream, chocolate cake with espresso buttercream, Earl Grey cake with lemon buttercream, carrot cake with caramel buttercream and red velvet cake with cream cheese buttercream. The page also lists fillings such as lemon curd, raspberry jam, salted caramel and pastry cream.

Service area and who it may suit

The bakery is located at 101-11900 Haney Place in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Its official home-page description says it serves Maple Ridge and surrounding cities, but the supplied evidence does not identify a complete delivery radius or list specific surrounding communities.

Vanilla Bean may suit couples who want to discuss a custom cake in a consultation, sample several cake-and-filling combinations, or arrange a tasting at home by taking the box to go. The tasting page says that consultations can be scheduled at any time, while design consultations connected with the last-Saturday tasting availability are limited and should be booked in advance.

Confirmed strengths and practical limitations

A documented feature of the wedding offering is the opportunity to sample multiple cake and filling combinations before design decisions are finalized. The official page also provides a consultation pathway, allowing couples to discuss their wedding cake with the cake artist rather than selecting only from a fixed catalogue.

The evidence does not confirm a full wedding-cake menu, delivery policy, setup service, minimum order, maximum serving capacity or turnaround time. The bakery's custom-order information also notes that design inspiration may be adapted rather than reproduced exactly, because products and florals can change. Couples should treat inspiration images as references and discuss what can be made for their event.

Multiple tasting combinations are documented
A one-on-one consultation option is documented
Exact reproduction of an inspiration cake is not guaranteed
Delivery, setup, capacity and lead times are not confirmed in the supplied evidence

Pricing

The official wedding page lists the Wedding Cake Tasting Box from $50.00. This is the only wedding-specific price identified in the supplied evidence. Wedding package and custom wedding cake prices are not published in the evidence provided, so prices are not published for the complete wedding cake service.

The custom-request information indicates that some frosting options and fillings may cost extra and that the bakery will contact customers about prices after a form is submitted. That information relates to custom orders generally; couples should request a current wedding-specific quote that sets out the cake design, flavours, fillings, servings, taxes, pickup or delivery and any setup charges.

What couples should confirm

Before paying a deposit or confirming a date, couples should ask Vanilla Bean Bake Shop for a written quote and booking terms. The supplied pages establish the tasting and consultation process, but they do not provide the complete operational details needed for a wedding contract.

Confirm whether the bakery is available for the wedding date, how far in advance the cake must be ordered, whether pickup or delivery is available for the venue, and whether delivery, setup or display equipment carries an additional charge. It is also important to confirm the servings supplied by the selected design, the final flavour and filling combination, allergy handling, storage instructions and the deadline for changes.
