Last reviewed: August 13, 2026. Reichert Photography is an active wedding photography business with a current official website, a working enquiry route and a published wedding investment page. The official site identifies the photographer as Jamie, presents wedding and engagement work, and confirms the same telephone number associated with this Nelson listing.

For couples looking for a Nelson BC wedding photographer, the business publishes a clear starting point for comparing coverage: wedding photography packages, wedding videography, engagement sessions and destination options. The official site does not publish a street address, so this profile does not list one; confirm any in-person consultation or meeting location directly before making plans.

Services and specialization

Reichert Photography’s wedding offering is centred on photography, with a separate wedding videography service also shown on the official website. The photography portfolio describes its approach as bright, colourful, timed candid images alongside formal portraits. The videography page describes a candid, journalistic approach and shows wedding video examples.

The site also lists engagement photography, bridal boudoir and destination wedding coverage. Engagement sessions are presented as a way to become comfortable in front of the camera and can be used for announcements, save-the-dates, wedding websites and keepsakes. Bridal boudoir is a separate, optional service rather than an assumed part of wedding photography.

Service area and who it may suit

The business is associated with Nelson, British Columbia, and its official site says it serves all of BC, Alberta and destinations. The photographer’s about page says many weddings are outside Nelson, while the engagement page specifically says sessions and proposals are available throughout the Kootenays.

This may suit couples planning a Nelson or Kootenay celebration, as well as couples considering a wedding elsewhere in BC or Alberta who want to ask one provider about photo, video or both. Travel expectations should still be checked against the specific venue and date: the published photography packages include travel inside the local area, while destination packages state that clients cover travel and accommodation.

Confirmed strengths and practical limitations

A documented strength is the level of package detail published on the official site. The wedding photography page specifies coverage lengths, listed prices and core inclusions, while the videography page has its own package structure. The photography investment page also states that packages include pre- and post-consultation, fully edited photos on a flash drive, an engagement shoot and a one-year anniversary shoot.

The official pages provide a phone number and web enquiry forms, but do not publish a clean street address. The website also describes non-refundable booking retainers and says date changes depend on availability. These are practical points to discuss before booking, rather than indications of a problem.

Pricing

Current wedding photography pricing is explicitly published. The site lists four hours at $2,500, six hours at $3,300, eight hours at $4,400 and 10 hours at $5,500. It says the photography packages include 100 fully edited photos per hour, tax and travel inside the local area, an engagement shoot, and a one-year anniversary shoot. It also notes that a feature wedding video is available as an add-on.

Wedding videography is listed at $2,500 for four hours, $3,300 for six hours, $4,400 for eight hours and $5,500 for 10 hours, with published minimum highlight-video lengths increasing by coverage. Destination packages combine photography and videography, with separate listed rates and client-paid travel and accommodation. Confirm the applicable package, travel boundary, taxes, add-ons and the total in writing, especially if the event is outside the local area.

Contact and booking

Contact Reichert Photography through the official website’s enquiry form or by telephone at 250-505-3141. The wedding enquiry form asks for name, email, city and wedding date, which gives couples a direct route to ask about availability and a tailored scope.

Before sending a retainer, request the current agreement and ask the business to confirm the coverage hours, the people providing photo and video services, delivery expectations, travel costs and the exact payment schedule. The site states that its booking retainer is non-refundable, making this confirmation particularly useful.

What couples should confirm

Confirm whether the selected date is available and whether the quoted scope is photography only, videography only, or both. If video is included, ask which edited films and raw or unedited material, if any, are included. For photography, confirm whether the stated edited-photo estimate applies to the selected coverage and how files will be delivered.

Ask how the local travel area is defined, what applies to a Kootenay, BC, Alberta or destination venue, and whether accommodation or other travel costs will be added. Couples should also verify the current retainer, cancellation and rescheduling terms, any venue requirements, delivery timing, and whether an engagement shoot or anniversary shoot is appropriate for their location and schedule.

Profile review and identity

The former listed website was unavailable, but current official identity is supported by the live Reichert Photography domain: its name matches the company title, and the site contains direct wedding photography, wedding videography, engagement and investment pages. The official about page also confirms the listed phone number and connects the service to Nelson.

The legacy street address has not been carried forward because no postal address was found on the confirmed official pages reviewed. Contact information and published package details should be rechecked with the business when enquiring, as wedding availability and terms can change.
