Based in Langley, British Columbia, Dragonflight Photography is managed by Ashley Ferreira and Verlon, who are fiercely dedicated to their craft and capturing special moments as they unfold. Ashley and Verlon are skilled in photojournalism, portraiture, traditional, and contemporary styles of photography and practice their passion together by documenting unique love stories. Ashley has been interested in photography since she was a kid; she vividly recalls running away with her father’s camera as a toddler and growing up with an SLR camera. While she had planned on earning a nursing degree from UBC and even volunteered for Victoria General during high school, it was photography that she would ultimately pursue. Ashley assisted a well-known photographer in Victoria for more than three years, a period during which she learned as much as she could and covered many weddings. A few years later, this went on to become her lifelong vocation. Ashley has attended the Art Institute of Vancouver for graphic design and Emily Carr University. Verlon, like Ashley, was exposed to photography at an early age. Raised on a ranch in Lytton, Verlon is no stranger to farming and has boundless enthusiasm for travel and adventure. He is always capturing spontaneous moments and loves to create timelessly beautiful images of couples.
