The Laurel Packinghouse, a heritage building dating from 1918, was vital to the local orchard industry for decades. It has been intensively renovated, yet still maintains original features including enormous wooden beams and repurposed wooden flooring, brick made from local Knox Mountain clay, and hanging lamps. The Laurel now houses a spectacular, naturally lit venue space that’s versatile, full of atmosphere, and acoustically strong. It has tremendous appeal in that it offers a warm, charming venue space which can be left as is, or can be decorated in a variety of unique ways. Its central location in Kelowna’s Cultural District, and the BC Orchard Industry Museum and Wine Museum in the Packinghouse itself, make for a special setting which never fails to impress.
